Con Zero will host a variety of games, panels, party activities, and more, all hosted by members of the wonderful, online TTRPG community.

What is Con Zero?

Previously known as FOMO Con, Convention Zero is a virtual TTRPG convention founded by Zoup who decided to not let the thought of "Huh, I wish there was a place we could all hang out and escape the FOMO of GenCon" stay a thought. It aspires to be a place open to everyone in the TTRPG/AP space who is missing out on in-person conventions. Where and when does Convention Zero take place?

The team behind Con Zero aims to host this convention twice a year in a pop-up Discord server. Since this is a newly-formed convention, backed by a hardworking crew of volunteers, dates, times, location, and processes are subject to change as we learn more and more at each convention.

Convention Zero Fall 2025 will be taking place from Friday to Sunday, November 21st, 6pm ET, to November 23rd, 11pm ET in the Convention Zero Fall 2025 pop-up Discord server. Invites to the server will be distributed mid-November.

What do I need to attend the convention?

Besides the basic equipment needed for a virtual call, attending Con Zero is as easy as joining a Discord server! Once you join, you will find more information about our events and gain access to our fantastic community.
Invites to the Convention Zero Fall 2025 server will be distributed mid-November.

Scheduling and event registration information for Convention Zero Fall 2025 will be posted mid-November.

Note: Convention Zero is not sponsored by Warhorn.

Will Events have an audience?

Most events will have audiences as muted listeners/viewers in a Discord call. Be sure to review the details of the event thoroughly as each one will have a unique host, premise, and set-up. For questions or concerns, you can reach out to a Moderator in our server or email us at [email protected]

For games specifically, we leave it up to the GMs and their players. If the table allows an audience and the game is hosted in Discord, please remember to mute your mic when joining and to respect our community guidelines. If the game is streamed, please respect the rules of the chat.

Will I be streamed live or recorded in any Event I participate in as an audience member or player?

In most cases, audience members will attend as listeners/viewers only, but in events entailing participation such as games or Q&A sections for panels, participants can decide if they are on camera or not. Posted event information will include if an event is streamed or recorded. Be sure to thoroughly review all other participant requirements.

At this time, we cannot guarantee that Convention Zero will stream or record any events.

Can I stream or record an Event I am running or participating in?

You are welcome to stream or record your event so long as:

- All other participants give permission
- You notify us during the onboarding phase
- You agree to supply and manage the necessary software and equipment.

We will provide what support we can but likely at a limited capacity. At this time, we cannot guarantee that Convention Zero will stream or record any events.

I am interested in sponsoring an Event and/or donating rewards for Con Zero. How do I get started?

Thank you for your interest! To get started, please email [email protected].

What if I have another question or concern about Con Zero?

For any other questions or concerns, you can reach out to our team in our Discord server or email us at [email protected].

Community Policies

Welcome to Convention Zero! We are a TTRPG convention-like experience but entirely online.Born from the ”FOMO” one might get when missing out on in-person conventions, we’ve created a virtual space for our community to hold real-time conversations about your characters, your stories, game mechanics, and anything and everything in between! It is our goal to encourage a safe, inclusive, healthy space for fans of tabletop gaming and/or actual plays. Our server is designed for support, discussion, and conversation. We are excited to see you all engaging with everything we’ve made and with each other in a positive way!Since this is a public forum, we ask that you follow a simple code of conduct. And while the guidelines below are not all that is entailed for being a good member of Convention Zero, we believe this is the stuff worth calling out. These guidelines may also be changed or amended as necessary. You must agree and abide by all rules to participate in ConZero.

A Special Note from the Staff Team:

We stand for the rights of trans people and immigrants, the dignity and protection of Black lives and those impacted by police and colonial violence, and the freedom of Palestine. We fully support human creators and creations and have a zero tolerance policy for the use of generative AI. This is not an exhaustive list of our values, and these things are not up for debate.

1.) Be Kind!

Please be nice to each other and have engaging conversations. Having conversations makes friendships. Friendships make people feel good inside.

2.) Be Inclusive!

We aim to create the most welcoming community we can, so please think before posting. Derogatory or hurtful comments, jokes, and discourse may drive off people who would otherwise be a great part of our community. Here, we respect everyone's race, ethnicity, religion, pronouns, sexuality and gender expression. To see a person’s pronouns, click their name and it will tell you what they have selected.

3.) No Overtly NSFW Content!

We want this to be a community for people to chat and engage with each other. Please respect that by refraining from posting NSFW content. If you post sensitive content that could be considered a line or veil, such as depictions of violence, triggering topics, and/or common fears (spiders, clowns, etc.), please use spoiler tag for the post and/or picture. If you need a tutorial on how to use the spoiler tag, please use this link:
https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022320632-Spoiler-Tags

4.) No AI Art or Writing!

Convention Zero is put together by a hardworking team of human creators. Be original, and be yourself. Please keep the slop out of our server!

5.) Respect Direct Messaging Preferences!

We asked everyone's direct messaging preference upon entrance to this server. You MUST respect direct messaging preference unless a MOD must direct message for official reasons. To see a person’s direct messaging preference, click their name, and you will see what they have selected.

6.) Your Safety is Our Priority!

In the event someone engages in unacceptable behavior or violates a rule, please report their actions directly to a @MOD in a private direct message. Our moderation team will deal with the issue. If you violate the rules, a mod will reach out to you to discuss. We hope to steer you in a direction that keeps you in the community, but if your behavior is especially flagrant or hurtful or repeated after you have already been spoken to by a mod, then we may not allow you to continue participating in this space.
